Being a cloud-based email management service, MailChimp has rapidly gained popularity since its launch in 2001. The program can be both funny and engaging while maintaining serious marketing features to keep us ahead of the competition. The ESP scene has rarely seen such a powerful service, and it can even come with a free option. Why is by far, the best we have encountered. Going over to paid subscriptions, we have auto-responding tools, spam diagnostics, time zone list segmentation, and an array of social network integration tools. MailChimp has a user base of over six million customers – and some of them are quite recognizable (TED, the Economist, Vice UK). With this in mind, the software doesn’t seem to have a problem in handing more than five billion emails per month. If this isn’t a promise towards amazing services, we don’t know what is!

Free Plan

For smaller and newer businesses, the Free MailChimp plan has more than it takes to cover our needs. Up to 2,000 subscribers with the ability to send out 12,000 email monthly. We don’t get all the features from paid plans but this is a nice place to start our MailChimp journey. We will lack conversation-styled replies, some filter diagnostics, time-zone delivery, email client testing, and the Social Pro feature. Everything else is here, ready to aid us in expanding our brand.

Growing Business Plan

This one takes us a step up from the free version but boy, does it get better. The prices start at $25 for 1,000 subscribers and go up to $4,400 for the mind-blowing 1,000,000 subscribers – this leaves us at maximum email cap of 12,360,000 per month. The numbers are outstanding but the advanced features make it even juicier – report and segmentation options and Mandrill for sending targeted messages to unique individuals. It may not come cheap with all of the bonus features but it is definitely worth it.

Pro-Marketer Plan

We can upgrade any plan of use by paying $199/month more. This will land us the most advanced marketing goodies – multivariate testing (8 variants at max), advanced reporting, prioritized customer support, email delivery stop feature, and more.
