“My shout-out goes to the Wubbanub. It saved us. When our girl was still on the younger side, she’d drop the regular pacifier from her mouth and need us to come put it back in — or even hold it in place, and my sister introduced us to the Wubbanub. In those early days, we could wedge the animal part between things to keep the pacifier accessible for her even if it fell out of her mouth, and when she was a little older, she could grab it more easily herself to put it back in. Life-changing.”—Katie Krieger, engineer, mother of an 18-month-old
Important figures in the Baha’i religion, such as Abdul’l-Baha, have highlighted the fact that Moses, like Abraham, had none of the makings of a great man of history, but through God’s assistance he was able achieve many great things. He is described as having been “for a long time a shepherd in the wilderness,” of having had a stammer, and of being “much hated and detested” by the Pharaoh and the ancient Egyptians of his time. He is said to have been raised in an oppressive household, and to have been known, in Egypt, as a man who had committed murder – though he had done so in order to prevent an act of cruelty.[109]
“When you get home from the hospital, things can be messy. It’s great to have a few sets of dark sheets, so you don’t stain all your nice, pretty white ones.” — Jo Zasloff, certified nurse midwife, Central Park Midwifery

Anyway, a new king who was called Pharaoh came into power in Egypt.  He didn’t like it that there were so many Israelites and he thought they would one day take over the land.  So he decided to make all the Israelites into slaves.

The Quran relates the story of Moses with some added details and slight differences. Jochebed’s (Arabic: يوكابد‎ Yūkābad) efforts to save the baby Moses are recounted, along with the parting of the Red Sea, the burning bush and the Ten Commandments.[27]

Adventure and high drama unfurl in this true story that carries all the seeds of tragedy, but ends happily. In the harsh Alaskan winter of 1917, a mother and her two young children, baby Ann and three-year old Betty, climbed into a horse-drawn sleigh, hoping to spend the winter in the kinder climate of Washington. During a violent snow storm, the horses tossed and scattered the passengers; Betty was pulled out from a swift current under ice, but baby Ann was swept away. Later in the day, two trappers found the baby in a basket floating down the icy river, and returned her, unharmed, to her mother. It’s a story of miracle, hardship, survival, and hope that is strongly enhanced by the author’s suspenseful telling and the illustrator’s exquisite winter scenes. His art is full of detail, from the red-cheeked, cherry-nosed travelers, to the cold clouds puffing from the horse’s nostrils, to the evident ferocity of the winter storm. They went and found Moses with Pharaoh’s daughter, and she asked them, “Please help me and nurse this baby, and I will pay you for helping me.”  (She didn’t realize that this was actually Moses’ mother).
“Everybody swears by the Diaper Genie, but we found this simple diaper pail was just as good and more attractive. We also liked that there’s an option to use washable cloth liners.”— Alicia Birr, naturopathic doctor, mother of a 4-month-old
“This is a super-gross concept but so helpful. It’s essentially a straw for sucking snot from your baby’s nose. Someone gave this to me; I didn’t pay much attention until I was up half the night with a newborn who was so congested it kept her awake. Did you know that when babies are born they swallow a bunch of amniotic fluid and it gets stuck in their sinuses? I didn’t either. This thing was essentially for those first few weeks and continues to be a lifesaver (until this kid can blow her own nose.)” —Cynthia Domingo-Foraste, attorney, mother of a 9-month-old
“I still love these, even for a 3-year-old. Makes nail cutting much less scary and difficult along the soft keratin of baby nails.”—Amanda Olsen, real estate agent, mother of a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old

“For a structured baby carrier, I like the Beco Gemini, which you can put your newborn right in, thanks to the buckles and the structure. Babies fit in structured carriers earlier than the wraps, and men tend to love these because they’re sleek and easier to use — it’s just one less thing to master right out of the gate. It gives you hands-free time, and it’s a little less fuss.” — Lindsey Bliss, certified birth doula and educator, Carriage House Birth

The writer quotes Genesis in a “style which presents the nature of the deity in a manner suitable to his pure and great being,” however he does not mention Moses by name, calling him ‘no chance person’ (οὐχ ὁ τυχὼν ἀνήρ) but “the Lawgiver” (θεσμοθέτης, thesmothete) of the Jews,” a term that puts him on a par with Lycurgus and Minos.[67] Aside from a reference to Cicero, Moses is the only non-Greek writer quoted in the work, contextually he is put on a par with Homer,[68] and he is described “with far more admiration than even Greek writers who treated Moses with respect, such as Hecataeus and Strabo.[69]

Some historians, however, point out the “apologetic nature of much of Artapanus’ work,”[58] with his addition of extra-biblical details, such as his references to Jethro: the non-Jewish Jethro expresses admiration for Moses’ gallantry in helping his daughters, and chooses to adopt Moses as his son.[59]
The girl brought the basket over to her, and when Pharaoh’s daughter opened it, the light startled Moses so he woke up and started to cry.  “What a sweet, beautiful little baby.  It must be one of the Israelite’s,”  Pharaoh’s daughter said to her servants.

Nevertheless, like Abraham, through the assistance of God, he achieved great things and gained renown even beyond the Levant. Chief among these achievements was the freeing of his people, the Hebrews, from bondage in Egypt and leading “them to the Holy Land.” He is viewed as the one who bestowed on Israel ‘the religious and the civil law’ which gave them “honour among all nations,” and which spread their fame to different parts of the world.[109]

“Even though many families are trying to stay away from these sorts of fluorescent plastic nightmares, this freestanding tripod swing can be a lifesaver. And while we try to be holistic, we also are realistic. There’s a mirror and some sound effects, and it can swing very gently to quite aggressively. It really kind of takes care of itself. Moses is mentioned more in the Quran than any other individual and his life is narrated and recounted more than that of any other Islamic prophet.[100] In general, Moses is described in ways which parallel the Islamic prophet Muhammad,[101] and “his character exhibits some of the main themes of Islamic theology,” including the “moral injunction that we are to submit ourselves to God.”[citation needed]

The spiritual thirst of mankind has for ages been quenched at Hebrew fountains; but the embodiment in human institutions of truths uttered by the Son of Man eighteen centuries ago was to be mainly the work of Puritan thought and Puritan self-devotion. …If their municipal regulations smack somewhat of Judaism, yet there can be no nobler aim or more practical wisdom than theirs; for it was to make the law of man a living counterpart of the law of God, in their highest conception of it.
Moses also figures in several of Jesus’ messages. When he met the Pharisee Nicodemus at night in the third chapter of the Gospel of John, he compared Moses’ lifting up of the bronze serpent in the wilderness, which any Israelite could look at and be healed, to his own lifting up (by his death and resurrection) for the people to look at and be healed. In the sixth chapter, Jesus responded to the people’s claim that Moses provided them manna in the wilderness by saying that it was not Moses, but God, who provided. Calling himself the “bread of life”, Jesus stated that He was provided to feed God’s people.[citation needed]

In subsequent years, theologians linked the Ten Commandments with the formation of early democracy. Scottish theologian William Barclay described them as “the universal foundation of all things… the law without which nationhood is impossible. …Our society is founded upon it.[112] Pope Francis addressed the United States Congress in 2015 stating that all people need to “keep alive their sense of unity by means of just legislation… [and] the figure of Moses leads us directly to God and thus to the transcendent dignity of the human being.[113]

Jochebed’s name is given various allegorical interpretations;[12][13] the Leviticus Rabbah identifies her as the person named in the Book of Chronicles as Jehudijah,[14] by arguing that the name should be interpreted as meaning the Jewess, in reference to her founding the Jewish nation by disobeying the Pharaoh’s order to dispose of the firstborn males.[15]

According to traditional rabbinic biblical chronology, Moses was 80 years old when the Exodus occurred, the Israelites had been in Egypt for 210 years in total, and thus in combination with the rabbinical claim that Jochebed was born on the border of Egypt, as her parents had entered it, this would require Jochebed to have been 130 years old when she gave birth to Moses;[20] rabbinical literature regards this to have been alluded to by the biblical description of the dedication of the Israelite altar, at which 130 shekel weight of silver was offered.[18][21]

“This high chair is perfect for small-space living, or visiting somewhere without a seat for your kid. It easily connects to a table or counter and you can toss the cloth part in the washing machine.” —Amanda Olsen, real estate agent, mother of a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old
“I totally registered for a fancy high-tech baby bath, and a friend had the nerve to show up to our baby shower with this one. Obviously, she knew something I didn’t. It’s amazing and works just as well for an infant as it does for a toddler. Our 2-year-old loves bath time in this tub. In the first couple months, we added a sponge-bath cushion for extra support, since she was born on the small side.” — Lauren Hart, engineer, mother of a 23-month-old
Benjamin Franklin, in 1788, saw the difficulties that some of the newly independent American states were having in forming a government, and proposed that until a new code of laws could be agreed to, they should be governed by “the laws of Moses,” as contained in the Old Testament.[122] He justified his proposal by explaining that the laws had worked in biblical times: “The Supreme Being… having rescued them from bondage by many miracles, performed by his servant Moses, he personally delivered to that chosen servant, in the presence of the whole nation, a constitution and code of laws for their observance.[123]

As a new mom myself (the baby is a month old as of yesterday), here are some of the things that I’ve found most helpful that friends and family have given to us. The most helpful thing has been food, specifically food that can be frozen and used later like soups, stews, lasagna, casseroles, etc. I don’t know if the person that you want to help is breastfeeding, but a little basket of snacks is great. You can’t go wrong with diapers, wipes, newborn toys, a pacifier (try to make sure it’s BPA free though).
According to the Book of Exodus, Moses was born in a time when his people, the Israelites, an enslaved minority, were increasing in numbers and the Egyptian Pharaoh was worried that they might ally themselves with Egypt’s enemies.[5] Moses’ Hebrew mother, Jochebed, secretly hid him when the Pharaoh ordered all newborn Hebrew boys to be killed in order to reduce the population of the Israelites. Through the Pharaoh’s daughter (identified as Queen Bithia in the Midrash), the child was adopted as a foundling from the Nile river and grew up with the Egyptian royal family. After killing an Egyptian slavemaster (because the slavemaster was smiting a Hebrew), Moses fled across the Red Sea to Midian, where he encountered The Angel of the Lord,[6] speaking to him from within a burning bush on Mount Horeb (which he regarded as the Mountain of God).
Joseph and the king of Egypt died. Many years went by. The Israelites lived in Egypt a long time. They had many children. One king of Egypt did not like the Israelites. He thought there were too many of them. He was afraid they would take his land away from him.

A motley crowd was thus collected and abandoned in the desert. While all the other outcasts lay idly lamenting, one of them, named Moses, advised them not to look for help to gods or men, since both had deserted them, but to trust rather in themselves, and accept as divine the guidance of the first being, by whose aid they should get out of their present plight.[65]
Several etymologies have been proposed. An Egyptian root msy, “child of”, has been considered as a possible etymology, arguably an abbreviation of a theophoric name, as for example in Egyptian names like Thutmoses (Thoth created him) and Ramesses (Ra created him),[15] with the god’s name omitted. Abraham Yahuda, based on the spelling given in the Tanakh, argues that it combines “water” or “seed” and “pond, expanse of water”, thus yielding the sense of “child of the Nile” (mw-še).[21]
The story may trouble sensitive readers, and I recommend that adults be available to help children see that although the baby’s mother was not able to rescue her child, still a providential hand was ready to bring her to safety. For Christian families, the story provides an opportunity to talk about God’s protective care of children, especially those whose parents cannot care for them (see Matthew 10:30-31; Psalm 10:17-18; Psalm 68:5; and many other examples). It is best suited to an elementary audience.
In mid-January, 1917, a young mother set out from Fairbanks, Alaska with her two children to spend the rest of winter with relatives in Seattle. While crossing a river in a snowstorm, with a roadhouse destination in sight, the sleigh overturned and baby Ann was lost in the confusion. This well-written picture book presents a gripping true story which will raise the heart rate and ultimately comfort young readers with its satisfying ending. Ted Rand’s superb watercolor paintings bring us into a world of darkness and cold snow everywhere, with a particularly good use of firelight from lanterns, windows and doors to evince the safety and warmth of human company in the relentless Alaskan winter.
Many people put receiving blankets, baby wipes, and rattles in these baskets. I put a dozen real cloth diapers (no microfibers), homemade burp pads (flannels with a simple stitch border), and a large, very thick “laydown” pad made with a piece of foam and two large pieces of flannel stitched together. These are all hard to impossible to find and worth their weight in gold. The laydown pad in particular is useful in places where you don’t trust the cleanliness of a place to put your baby down either to change or for a quick nap.

In Strabo’s writings of the history of Judaism as he understood it, he describes various stages in its development: from the first stage, including Moses and his direct heirs; to the final stage where “the Temple of Jerusalem continued to be surrounded by an aura of sanctity.” Strabo’s “positive and unequivocal appreciation of Moses’ personality is among the most sympathetic in all ancient literature.”[62] His portrayal of Moses is said to be similar to the writing of Hecataeus who “described Moses as a man who excelled in wisdom and courage.”[62]

Scholarly consensus sees Moses as a legendary figure and not a historical person.[8] Rabbinic Judaism calculated a lifespan of Moses corresponding to 1391–1271 BCE;[9] Jerome gives 1592 BCE,[10] and James Ussher 1571 BCE as his birth year.[11][Note 2] In the Book of Deuteronomy, Moses was mentioned as “the man of God.”[14]

References to Moses were used by the Puritans, who relied on the story of Moses to give meaning and hope to the lives of Pilgrims seeking religious and personal freedom in America. John Carver was the first governor of Plymouth colony and first signer of the Mayflower Compact, which he wrote in 1620 during the ship Mayflower’s three-month voyage. He inspired the Pilgrims with a “sense of earthly grandeur and divine purpose,” notes historian Jon Meacham,[114] and was called the “Moses of the Pilgrims.”[115] Early American writer James Russell Lowell noted the similarity of the founding of America by the Pilgrims to that of ancient Israel by Moses:

Moses is mentioned 502 times in the Quran; passages mentioning Moses include 2.49–61, 7.103–160, 10.75–93, 17.101–104, 20.9–97, 26.10–66, 27.7–14, 28.3–46, 40.23–30, 43.46–55, 44.17–31, and 79.15–25. and many others. Most of the key events in Moses’ life which are narrated in the Bible are to be found dispersed through the different Surahs of the Quran, with a story about meeting Khidr which is not found in the Bible.[100]
The Quran relates the story of Moses with some added details and slight differences. Jochebed’s (Arabic: يوكابد‎ Yūkābad) efforts to save the baby Moses are recounted, along with the parting of the Red Sea, the burning bush and the Ten Commandments.[27]
“These stacking baby cups. Holy shit. I cannot believe how much mileage we’ve gotten out of them. They can be incorporated into almost any level of developmental play. Lactation Cookie Recipe: Most mamas start with plenty of milk, but if there are any latching problems (such as tongue-tie or lip-tie), the milk supply can quickly drop too far. The story of Jochebed is thought to be described in the Book of Exodus (2:1–10) – although she is not explicitly named here. (Her name is first mentioned in Exodus 6:20.) She lived in Egypt, where the descendants of Israel were being oppressed. The Pharaoh had decreed that all their baby boys were to be thrown into the Nile, because he feared that they might become too powerful. When Moses, her youngest child, was born, Jochebed therefore hid him for three months until she could hide him no longer. To save her son’s life, she made a wooden chest of bulrushes, made it watertight with slime and pitch and put the child in it. Fully aware that she (Jochebed) would not be able to protect Moshes from the Pharaoh’s cruelty, Jochebed placed Moses in a basket and released him in the flow of River Nile. The basket fell in the hands of the Pharaoh’s daughter who was bathing in the river. She was a kind-hearted lady and was filled with love and compassion on seeing the baby. She secretly sneaked the baby into the palace. Moved with compassion when she discovered the child, she decided to adopt him. The “sister” of the child (presumed to be Miriam), who had come forward, suggested to find her a Hebrew woman to nurse the child. The Pharaoh’s daughter agreed and so Miriam called her mother, who was appointed to take care of him. Thus Jochebed nursed her son until he was old enough and brought him to the Pharaoh’s daughter, who adopted him as her son. As Moses grew up Jochebed gave Moses all the traditional Jewish education and knowledge, ensuring his upbringing was Jewish. As result, he could not bear the injustice done by Egyptians on the Jews. Moses convinced the Pharaoh to amend his oppressive laws. His behavior made him popular among the Jews[4].The story continues with Moses, who grew up to become the leader of the Exodus, leading his people out of the land of Egypt.

“These bibs are the best. My husband thought they were weird because they are kind of stiff. But that’s a good thing! When you see how much food collects in the bottom of those bibs, you will understand the logic of choosing that particular material type. Also, you can just clean them with soap and a sponge. Anything that you don’t have to launder is great, bibs especially. They get very soiled and stained. And, honestly, the last thing you want to do is stain-treat a baby bib. I guess you don’t really have to but I always hated putting my daughter in a clean bib with stains on it.” —Elizabeth Verrelli, event planner, mother of a 2-year-old
“Eco-friendly and adaptable, this crib and bassinet set will take you from newborn through baby years and, with the addition of a toddler conversion kit, can take you all the way through to your child’s first big kid bed.” —Dave Jacobs, owner, Mini Jake

She appears briefly in The Prince of Egypt under the name ‘Yocheved’, portrayed by (and resembling) the late Israeli vocalist Ofra Haza. In the film, she sings a lullaby to baby Moses as she sets the basket carrying him adrift in the river, also pleading the river to deliver Moses “somewhere he can live free”. Ofra sang the lullaby in 18 languages for the film’s dubbing (including her native Hebrew language, which was the latter’s native tongue).

According to the Book of Numbers, Jochebed was born to Levi when he lived in Egypt.[1] Amram was the son of Kohath, who was a son of Levi. This would make Jochebed the aunt of Amram, her husband. This kind of marriage between relatives was later forbidden by the law of Moses.[5] Jochebed is also called Amram’s father’s sister in the Masoretic text of Exodus 6:20, but ancient translations differ in this. Some Greek and Latin manuscripts of the Septuagint state that Jochebed was Amram’s father’s cousin, and others state that she was Amram’s cousin.[6] In the Apocryphal Testament of Levi, it is stated that Jochebed was born, as a daughter of Levi, when Levi was 64 years old.

“The bouncer leans all the way back, which is essential for newborns, plus older babies can bounce themselves to self-soothe. Maybe most importantly, it fits easily through doorways, so new parents can bring it into the bathroom when they need a shower.” — Domino Kirke, certified birth doula and educator, Carriage House Birth
An Egyptian version of the tale that crosses over with the Moses story is found in Manetho who, according to the summary in Josephus, wrote that a certain Osarseph, a Heliopolitan priest, became overseer of a band of lepers, when Amenophis, following indications by Amenhotep, son of Hapu, had all the lepers in Egypt quarantined in order to cleanse the land so that he might see the gods. The lepers are bundled into Avaris, the former capital of the Hyksos, where Osarseph prescribes for them everything forbidden in Egypt, while proscribing everything permitted in Egypt. They invite the Hyksos to reinvade Egypt, rule with them for 13 years – Osarseph then assumes the name Moses – and are then driven out.[51]

So your best friend had a baby. And you’re completely clueless about the whole enterprise. What do you bring to the shower? Do you go with something cute or useful? (Probably useful.) But what’s the most useful? We decided to find out, asking an array of the world’s foremost baby experts (mostly new moms themselves, but also shop owners, medical professionals, and doulas): What’s the best baby-shower gift? Below, the very helpful responses. (And if you want to start a registry on Amazon, where most of our items are available, it’s a cinch.)
Historian Gladys L. Knight describes how leaders who emerged during slavery time and after often personified the Moses symbol. “The symbol of Moses was empowering in that it served to amplify a need for freedom.”[125] Therefore, when Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in 1865 after freeing the slaves, Black Americans said they had lost “their Moses”.[126] Lincoln biographer Charles Carleton Coffin writes, “The millions whom Abraham Lincoln delivered from slavery will ever liken him to Moses, the deliverer of Israel.”[127] Similarly, Harriet Tubman, who rescued approximately seventy enslaved family and friends, was also described as the “Moses” of her people.[128]
Jochebed’s name is given various allegorical interpretations;[12][13] the Leviticus Rabbah identifies her as the person named in the Book of Chronicles as Jehudijah,[14] by arguing that the name should be interpreted as meaning the Jewess, in reference to her founding the Jewish nation by disobeying the Pharaoh’s order to dispose of the firstborn males.[15]
“My daughter loves this teether. It’s the perfect size for her to hold, soothes her gums when she’s teething, plus the nubs clean milk and food residue from gums and teeth.” —Chelsa Crowley, founder, Stowaway Cosmetics, mother of a 9-month-old
Stories of unusual events during the pregnancy of Aminah, mother of the Islamic prophet Muhammad,[28] are compared with the similar experiences of Jochebed when she was carrying Moses.[29] The significance of this comparison is understood to spring from the affinity of Arabic folklore for Hebrew traditions.[29]
Moses is one of the most important of God’s messengers in the Bahá’í Faith being designated a Manifestation of God.[107] An epithet of Moses in Baha’i scriptures is the One Who Conversed with God.[108]
“A pair of bloomers are sweet, practical, and not something you would necessarily buy for yourself. For the L.A. crowd, they’re ideal for hot summer days, and in winter some of our customers put tights underneath them.” —Bronagh Staley, owner, Sweet William
Numenius, a Greek philosopher who was a native of Apamea, in Syria, wrote during the latter half of the 2nd century CE. Historian Kennieth Guthrie writes that “Numenius is perhaps the only recognized Greek philosopher who explicitly studied Moses, the prophets, and the life of Jesus…”[72] He describes his background:
Tamales are relatively time-consuming to make from scratch, but they are exceptionally easy to reheat—in addition to being both delicious and filling. This Texas-based company sells tamales frozen, making them the perfect gifts for your friend who doesn’t have the time to whip up a batch on their own. The traditional gift box includes two dozen tamales made with a combination of ancho pork, 3-cheese queso, black bean and Oaxaca cheese, and fresh corn poblano. Bonus: It’s unlikely that your friend has ever gotten a box of tamales in the mail before.

“Hands down, the gift we recommend to most expecting families are swaddles, but not just any swaddle. These by Coveted Things are extra special and truly set themselves apart from the other brands because they’re so versatile—as a swaddle, of course, as a photo backdrop, as a burp cloth, as a nursing cover, as a blankie, as a carriage cover. Plus we love the artwork with beautiful messages in soft organic cotton. My personal favorite is the one that says, “Shit just got real.” — Alex Ng, owner Piccolini NYC
God sent Moses back to Egypt to demand the release of the Israelites from slavery. Moses said that he could not speak eloquently,[7] so God allowed Aaron, his brother, to become his spokesperson. After the Ten Plagues, Moses led the Exodus of the Israelites out of Egypt and across the Red Sea, after which they based themselves at Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments. After 40 years of wandering in the desert, Moses died within sight of the Promised Land on Mount Nebo.
Michelangelo’s statue of Moses in the Church of San Pietro in Vincoli, Rome, is one of the most familiar masterpieces in the world.[citation needed] The horns the sculptor included on Moses’ head are the result of a mistranslation of the Hebrew Bible into the Latin Vulgate Bible with which Michelangelo was familiar. The Hebrew word taken from Exodus means either a “horn” or an “irradiation.” Experts at the Archaeological Institute of America show that the term was used when Moses “returned to his people after seeing as much of the Glory of the Lord as human eye could stand,” and his face “reflected radiance.”[136] In early Jewish art, moreover, Moses is often “shown with rays coming out of his head.”[137]

After baby arrives, most people in the west are too busy thinking about the new bundle of joy to worry about how the mother is doing. In some countries, it’s traditional to help new mothers and let them have a proper pampered babymoon, but that’s not so common here. So do something different – spoil a new mother with a gift basket. Here are some great ideas to add to the basket.
“The baby loves this toothbrush during the teething years, and it gets them ready for the toddler adventure of learning to brush.” —Gretchen Radzik, art teacher at Lower Manhattan Community Middle School, mother of a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old
The Exodus Rabbah argues that when the Pharaoh instructed midwives to throw male children into the Nile, Amram divorced Jochebed, who was three months pregnant with Moses at the time, but Miriam soon persuaded him to marry Jochebed again;[10] it goes on to argue that the Egyptians estimated the date that Moses would be due to be born by counting nine months from the start of this marriage, hence allowing Jochebed to hide him for the three months that were overestimated.[10] The Targum Pseudo-Jonathan identifies Jochebed as also having been wife of Elitzaphon Ben Parnach, and the mother of Eldad and Medad;[11] the text is ambiguous as to when this marriage occurred in relation to the marriage(s) to Amram.

Rice Heating Pad: Make a rice heating pad for pain-relief during labor, if the mama plans to have a natural birth. Add some lavender for extra comfort! (Note from Erin: I used these during my second birth! They also work great for the after pains that typically worsen with each birth.)
